Aidan Phelan is an independent writer and member of the Australian Crime Writers Association. In 2020 he published his debut novel, Glenrowan, and is the writer and historian for A Guide to Australian Bushranging, which has been bringing Australia’s outlaw heritage to a worldwide audience since 2017. He has also worked as an illustrator and regularly provides illustrations for An Outlaw’s Journal by Georgina Stones. He is also developing Glenrowan as a TV miniseries with Matthew Holmes (The Legend of Ben Hall).

Since 2020 he has released two editions of his novel Glenrowan, Aaron Sherritt: Persona non Grata, Bushranging Tales Volume One and his edit of William Westwood’s autobiography, published as William Westwood In His Own Words. Upcoming books include Hell on High Water: Victoria’s Floating Prisons, I Am Martha Needle, The Widow and Bushranging Tales Volume Two.
